Through our Resource and Mobilization program, we reach out to disadvantaged communities and let their words be heard, we make resources available at the touch of their fingers, and have their stories advocate their concerns and highlight their own tributes. Our mission is accomplished through production and dissemination of resources, library resources with mobility options, and countless multimedia projects.
This program perceives media and art as a tool for social development and community problem-solving; as a means to stimulate self-expression; and as a tool for strengthening the capabilities of the upcoming generations of the marginalized communities in Lebanon. Operating in the non-tangible divide between creative self-expression and social change, ARCPA/AL-JANA involves youth and children in the production of publications, videos, films, and documentaries.
One of AL-JANA’s main projects, is our biennial Jana International Film festival for Children and Youth, which allows children and youth to take part and document their own stories, those that remain hidden behind. We give them a chance to speak and reach out to other communities and cultures.
